Stealing the Rooster, RevisitedAn exhibition on historic Deweese Island, South Carolina, will showcase the works of the Artist Index collective, a select group of painters from South Carolina's Upstate and the mountains of North Carolina. The show takes place at Huyler House, the headquarters of the Deweese Island Arts Council, with an opening reception May 24. This exhibition from some of the region's finest artists continues through June 30. Vadim Bora's pieces were chosen by coordinators for his unique "exuberant expressionism" (a moniker given by a Dutch critic in 2003) that he imbues in each vibrant work.
