"Vanishing Scenes"

Untitled, Vadim Bora

As the summer turns to fall, join us for a new exhibition opening at Vadim Bora Gallery during the October 2 Art Walk in downtown Asheville.

"Vanishing Scenes" is a series of observational works
devoted to the disappearing landscapes of the mountains.

Rusted automobiles half-buried in the earth; once-powerful tractors, now still, awaiting the scrap heap; a leaning barn, functioning only as storage of dusty unused equipment – all are remnants of forgotten abundant lives of the countryside, captured poetically in the artist's indomitable "exuberant expressionist" style.

Grand Bohemian Gallery Asheville

Vadim Bora's Village Narrative has been showing at the Grand Bohemian Gallery in Asheville since April 1 and the opening of the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Biltmore Village, NC. The narrative touches on the customs and traditions of the culture of the Caucasus, told with Bora's characteristic humor and often emotive voice.
